The Vision by Carter Scaggs |
Etching with Carter Scaggs
Saturday, February 12 at 9:30 am - Sunday, February 13 at 5:00pmWorkshop Description:
We will explore relatively new breakthroughs and technological advancements in the art of etching. Traditional techniques such as aquatint, soft ground, hard ground, mock mezzotint, and lift ground have been updated and enhanced via the use of water-based, acrylic resist methodologies. In short, the visual power of these etching techniques has been retained, but the toxic, chemical hazards have been completely removed. Each participant will have the opportunity to produce beautiful etchings using these contemporary methods.
