Open House with Leslie Mutchler

Meet artist-in-residence Leslie Mutchler as she prints components of a community-driven, multi-participatory installation piece. Her current work explores issues related to hand(craft), the physicality of labor, and the repetition of memes in the virtual world through faux-manufactured objects.

Leslie Mutchler is an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin, where she teaches 2D foundations. She received an MFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Recent solo shows include Geometry of Labor at Poliglota Gallery, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2011), (F)utility Kitchen at Snowflake, St. Louis, Missouri (2011), and SOS, TAG at University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida (2010).
