BCA's On My Own Time

The University of North Texas is participating in Business Council for the Arts’ (BCA) On My Own Time (OMOT) program this year.

On My Own Time (OMOT) is the only annual art competition that features the artistic talents of business professionals throughout North Texas. This exhibition will be held at UNT on the Square from August 2 – 14, 2012.


Each summer, area companies hold in-house exhibits featuring artwork that was created outside of working hours by their employees (hence, the title of the program). This exhibition will be held at UNT on the Square from August 2 – 14, 2012. Winners in each of ten categories are selected by expert jurors. In addition, the jurors select a Best of Show winner and company employees are asked to vote for a People’s Choice winner.

Those awarded First Prize and Best of Show awards advance to the regional exhibit, where the best pieces from all companies are exhibited at North Park Center. This program, now in its 20th year, successfully recognizes and encourages creativity, stimulates dialogue, and builds team spirit among the employees of participating companies.
