CADD has partnered with the University of North Texas, College of Visual Arts and Design (UNT CVAD) for the November 10, 2012 Art Bus Tour. The tour will begin at Cohn Drennan Contemporary at 9:30AM with light refreshments. At 10:00 a.m. participants will board the bus for the ride to Denton and the UNT campus. The first stop will be at the Print Research Institute of North Texas (P.R.I.N.T Press) for a tour of the workshop, a view of the print collection of nationally recognized artists, and an exhibit of visiting artist Beauvais Lyons' work.
After a lunch break, the CADD tour will visit the studios of three UNT CVAD faculty members Annette Lawrence, Vincent Falsetta and Robert Jessup, all of whom are prominent artists in their fields and longtime professors at UNT. Guests will enjoy some face time in the artists respective creative environments. Then back on the bus to Dallas in time for an afternoon libation at the gallery. Tour ends at 4:00 p.m.
CADD has been promoting the visual arts through unique programming such as bus tours since 2010. Participants gain access to artist studios, member galleries, art collectors' homes, corporate art collections, and the best part is no driving involved. The CADD ART Bus hosts do all the work and each tour has a personal guide that entertains and previews your destinations. Guests are provided with bus transportation, lunch, and refreshments. Tickets are $50 per person.
